the candy silo

the candy silo

why water bottles should hold skittles

by brisss (pronounced brie)

people keep asking me, “brisss, why do u fill ur water bottle with skittles?”

i have a question.

why are u filling yours with water?

water disappears.

u drink it.

then its gone.

that seems like poor storage.

skittles, on the other hand, remain available throughout the day.

this transforms an ordinary water bottle into what engineers refer to as a candy silo.

people often tell me, "brisss, thats not what a water bottle is designed for."

neither were shopping carts.

yet people put children in them every day.

objects evolve.

so should we.

people also ask me, “brisss, how are u supposed to stay hydrated?"

i already have a favorite cup.

thats where blue juice goes.

im not carrying my favorite cup around all day.

it has a home.

the bottle travels.

the cup stays.

everybody wins.

people say, “brisss, but what if u get thirsty?”

then ill drink my blue juice before i leave.

i dont know why people assume every problem needs to happen outside.

when i leave the house, my biggest concern is not dehydration.

its snack availability.

this is where the candy silo comes in.

a candy silo allows me to carry emergency skittles wherever i go.

if i had filled it with water, eventually i would drink the water.

then i would just be carrying around an empty bottle.

that seems inefficient.

with skittles, the supply lasts much longer.

especially if I eat them responsibly.

people seem very attached to the bottles previous career.

i think thats unfair.

just because something started as one thing doesnt mean it cant become something greater.

unless its a pickle.

those cant be trusted.

anyway, my candy silo has been performing exceptionally well.

i hope this clears things up.
